The Twist Pillow: Sewing the Zipper

This is a pretty exciting step - in this video we will be putting in the zipper for our pillow cover! We will first pin our twist in place and then will work on lining up the zipper along the bottom seam of our pillow cover and then will stitch it in place. These next steps can be sewn by hand or using a sewing machine - click on one of the videos below to continue sewing.

Materials/supplies to have on hand:

• Twist panel that you just sewed together

• Two pillow panels (these are the 15” square pieces in your kit)

• Zipper

• Sewing pins

• Spool of white thread

• Seam ripper

• Scissors

• Hand sewing needle (if you will be sewing these steps by hand)

• Threaded sewing machine (if you will be sewing these steps by machine)

• Zipper foot for your sewing machine (if you will be sewing these steps by machine)

• Iron/ironing board if you have one
