The DIY Scrunchie: Sewing the Scrunchie Tube

In this step we will be pinning our fabric in place and stitching along the long edge of our fabric. Once the scrunchie tube has been sewn we will turn the tube so the right side of the fabric is showing. This step can be sewn by hand or sewing machine - click on one of the videos below to start sewing.

Materials/supplies to have on hand:

Fabric (if your kit has more than one fabric just pick the one you want to work on now)
Pins
Hand sewing needle (if you will be sewing these steps by hand)
Threaded sewing machine (if you will be sewing these steps by machine)
Thread
Safety pin
Scissors to clip threads when you are done sewing
